Dance at the Roost

On March 4th a dance was held at the Roost in Buxton. The Shipyard Brewery supplied us with a van for transportation to and from the dance.

The committee thought a good way to spread the word about me was to make up a pamphlet about me and my story. So Dave (my father-in-law) produced a beautiful pamphlet. We were very lucky to have two printing companies offer their services to print them for us.

Skate Night

We landed back in Portland and were driven straight to New Gloucester Fair Grounds for a benefit Skate Night. PartyTime USA provided the refreshments and a bonfire was lit. Gallons of coffee and hot chocolate were drunk to keep us from freezing solid. The temperature reached a balmy 5 degrees.

Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City

Finally the big trip arrived. Amy and I flew out of Portland Jetport on February 17th for the first trip of many to NYC. It was a big step for two people from small towns in Maine. Being a firefighter, I wanted to go to Ground Zero, so we purchased a map of the city and away we went. It would have been a great asset, if we could read it. After a few rides on the subway going in the wrong direction, we arrived at Ground Zero.

Groveville Fire Department Breakfast

On February 13th a breakfast was held at the Groveville Fire Department in Buxton. (my hometown). Tons of pancakes were flipped and bacon fried. Maine Public Radio came and interviewed me for a future story.

PartyTime USA

One night in January we had a knock at our door and it was Glen from PartyTime USA wanting to donate a lobster bake for 50 people for us to raffle off. Tickets were printed and this fund raiser was off. We chose April 15th for a drawing date. This raffle was a huge success.
