Dr Z's Appt

Wednesday, January 28, 2009

I went to see Dr Z. and had the usual breathing test and exam. The breathing test was about the same as when I was in the hospital. He was pleased with my condition this time. I did get put on a new breathing treatment that delivers the medicine a lot faster. I have not tried it yet but I’ll let you know how it works. I’ll keep you posted on the progress.

Dr Appt. NYC

Wednesday, January 7, 2009

Well we went back to see the transplant team again. I had another breathing test and a cat scan of my chest. The CAT scan relieved that the CF had progressed in my lungs since the 2006 test. The Dr. said that he could tell that CF has gotten worse and that I am still to healthy. He was real concerned that I was in the hospital twice in the last two months. My lung function was about the same as when I got out of the hospital. I’ll keep you posted on the next step. We go back to see the team in March.

Club Med

Wednesday, December 10, 2008

Well I was in Club med again for another infection. I was treated with IV’s for 9 day in the hospital and 5 days out of the hospital. I had the usual routine. I left the hospital with a lung function of 38%. I hope I can maintain that for a while. I didn’t feel as well the last time I got out of the hospital. I hope this visit is better for me. I have been real tired and requiring alot of naps lately. I am thankful I got out in time for Christmas. I go back to NY the 7th of January, I’ll keep you posted on that visit as well.

3rd Annual Motorcycle Ride

Sunday, October 5, 2008

We hosted our third annual motorcycle ride, it was a great ride. We had around 40 bikes. The ride was about 70 miles and took around 2 hours. We started and finished at Thompson’s Apple Orchard in New Gloucester. I did not ride this year because of my health. I was real bumming because I like to ride. I stayed back and hung out with the girls at the orchard.

I would like to thank the Thompson's for the use of their beautiful facility. I would like to also thank Dave and Amanda for all their work on organizing the event. I would like to thank Party time USA for a wonderful

Monday, September 29, 2008

Well it’s that time again; we went to NYC to meet with the team. They told me that I am still to healthy for transplant. I was examined by the Dr and we talked about my health. They did recommend that I get admitted her for IV’s. I was feeling real crappy and my chest feels heavy and is wheezing so he said I need to call the Dr here and be admitted. I will probably be in for 8-10days and then home for the rest on home IV’s. I’ll keep u posted when I get admitted. We called the hospital and there were no beds so I need to wait for one to come available.

4th Annual Coed Softball Tournament

Saturday, September 20, 2008

We hosted our 4th annual Coed Softball Tournament in Lewiston today. We had 13 teams play. A good time was had by all. I would like to thank Jamie Simpson and Sheila Morrison for all their hard work on this event. I did not play this year. I need O2 when I exercise, so I would not be able to play with 02 on. After being there all day to watch and to present the trophies I was coughing up blood and needed to go home and rest. It was real hard to stand there and not be able to play. My team let me coach first base and made me feel like I was part of the team. Thank You to everyone for all their
