Visit to NYC

Well Amy and I went to meet with the team this week. We meet with the team and went to support group. After being evaluated they still say that I am too healthy. Although they do see a decline in my condition, they are still concerned. They were concerned that I am not able to maintain a proper lung function on my own. They also expressed to me that I need to walk for at least 30 minutes on the treadmill per day. That is so that the body will be strong enough to withstand the operation. They asked if I had any concerns and I told them one of my concerns is my age. I wanted to have this done before I got to old. He told me that I should not worry about that. They had transplanted a 60 year old with CF and he was doing great. I also told them that I want to go back to work, that I was going nuts setting around the house. I want to be able to get my normal life back. He explained to me that keeping my organs in me as long as possible even though they are bad is better that a transplant. That should be the last resort. I can understand that. I just want to get my normal life back.
